Hand-Dyed Yarn & Handmade Products
Are your yarns hand-dyed?
Yes! All yarn is hand-dyed by me in small batches.
Will my yarn look exactly like the photos?
As each skein is hand-dyed, no two are ever 100% identical. I do my absolute best to replicate colorways as closely as possible, but slight variations are part of what makes hand-dyed yarn special.
What are dye lots?
Each batch of yarn is dyed together in a single session - this is called a dye lot. If you’d like multiple skeins that match as closely as possible, choose skeins from the same dye lot, which will be clearly labelled in the product options.
What are “Beta Drops”?
Beta Drops are fully usable yarns or products that may have small visual quirks. Think of them like a game in beta - still playable, still loved, and offered at a lower price while helping refine future releases.
Patterns & Digital Products
Are your patterns beginner-friendly?
Each pattern is clearly labelled with a difficulty level. Some are suitable for beginners, while others are better for confident or experienced makers.
How do I receive my digital pattern?
Digital patterns are available as instant downloads after purchase. You’ll also receive a confirmation email with access to your files.
Can I sell items made from your patterns?
Small-scale handmade sales are allowed, as long as credit is given to Slip’N’Stitch as the designer. Patterns themselves may not be shared, copied, or resold. Full terms are included in each pattern.
Will I get updates if a pattern changes in the future?
Yes! If a pattern is updated in the future, whether that’s clearer instructions, added photos, or small improvements, you’re welcome to email me with proof of purchase for a free updated version of the pattern. Because I’m a small, one-person business, updates aren’t automatically pushed out, but I’m always happy to make sure you have the most up-to-date version.
Custom & Commission Orders
Do you offer custom orders or commissions?
Yes, custom orders are offered occasionally, depending on availability and workload.
What kind of custom orders can I request?
Custom orders may include:
- Crochet or knit items
- Tapestries
- Select handmade products inspired by fandoms or themes
Availability and scope vary, and not all requests can be accepted.
How do I request a custom order?
When custom orders are open, instructions will be shared on the website or social channels. All requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
How long do custom orders take?
Custom pieces take longer than ready-made items. Timelines depend on complexity and current workload and will be discussed before confirming the order.
Do you require a deposit for custom orders?
Yes. Custom orders require a non-refundable deposit before work begins to secure your spot and cover materials and time.
Can custom orders be cancelled or returned?
As custom items are made specifically for you, they are generally non-refundable and cannot be returned once work has started.
Can you recreate an item exactly?
I aim to match requested designs as closely as possible, but handmade items naturally vary. Exact replicas are not guaranteed.

When do you restock products?
Physical products are released in monthly drops, as everything is made or dyed in small batches. Drop dates are announced via social media and the newsletter.
Do you ship internationally?
Shipping options are shown at checkout. Availability may vary depending on location and product type.
How long will my order take to ship?
Ready-to-ship items are usually dispatched within the processing time listed on the product page. Pre-orders or made-to-order items will have longer processing times, which are always clearly stated.
Returns & Issues
Do you accept returns or exchanges?
Due to the nature of handmade and digital products, returns are handled on a case-by-case basis. If there’s an issue, please get in touch - I’ll always do my best to help.
What if there’s a problem with my order?
If your order arrives damaged or incorrect, please contact me as soon as possible with photos and your order number so we can resolve it.
